Full Metal Alchemist is a must.

Darker Than Black

Gintama is really funny and awkard but you should give it a look.

ah see didn't know what you all watched, just figured main stream like dbz is naruto, bleach, one piece, fairy tail, and a few others.

more smaller series that people like are like death note, fma brotherhood, trigun, and what not.

though also dont' listen to others, saying watch subs.  You can watch dubs just fine.

Not upset one way or the other. Your statements just don't make much sense is all. Kind of like saying you don't like to be next to people, but then saying you love to be in a crowd. That said you probably should clarify exactly what it is you are looking for if your going to go the entire spectrum. We can't pick out the absolute best series in a given area. All we can do is give you a stream of Anime. Tell us what you like the most, and want the most.

I'm not going to be much help to you since I dislike mainstream stuff, but I'll give you a random suggestion that could be of help Rozen Maiden.

Former something....

okay i understand. umm i like good thought out worlds. also good charachter development. i guess i mainly like DBZ because of the charachters and not because of the fight scenes. The story needs to be in depth and have some humor as well.

Dragonball Z is overrated. Dragonball is far superior, and much, MUCH funnier.

Nintendo Network ID: Cheebee   3DS Code: 2320 - 6113 - 9046

If you want original setting/story and good character development, here's a couple of series I can recommend:

- Cowboy Bebop

- Baccano

- Berserk

- Durarara

- One Piece

- Legend of the Galactic Heroes (It has the same premise as Code Geass but it's million times better)

- Fullmetal Alchemist (both the original and remake)

- Hellsing Ultimate (okay, it has no originality or decent character development whatsoever but damn it's awesome)

Double post

Id recommend Yu Yu Hakusho, Naruto Shippuden, Zoids (don't hate), and Dragon Ball.

"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."

"The so-called "hardcore" gamer is a marketing brainwashed, innovation shunting, self-righteous idiot who pays videogame makers far too much money than what is delivered."

No lover for Hitman?  It's a very quirky show which I find hilarious and it gets more serious as the show progresses, but is still funny.  Also, I always have to plug Monster.  It's not humurios but a really good detective type show, except that the main character isn't a detective, he's a doctor, but he spends the anime hunting down the main protagonist.
