Kinect support is part of Hulu plus for 360.

 

The entertainment options on Xbox 360 continue to grow. Today, Hulu announced that its new subscription service, Hulu Plus, will be available on Xbox 360.

We're incredibly excited to bring Hulu Plus and its amazing library of entertainment to Xbox LIVE. Hulu Plus joins our ever-expanding entertainment offerings on Xbox 360, which currently includes Netflix, Last.fm and Zune Video. Starting this November, Xbox 360 will also be the only console to deliver 3500 live sporting events from ESPN3.com.

Like ESPN, Hulu Plus on Xbox 360 will take advantage of the social connectivity possible with our 25 million member Xbox LIVE community as well as the magic of Kinect for Xbox 360. We are committed to delivering signature features to the Hulu Plus experience on Xbox 360, like controller-free navigation with Kinect and Xbox LIVE Parties so you can watch with friends no matter where they are. These are custom entertainment experiences for Xbox 360 that you can't find anywhere else. More details will be announced at a later time.

While watching hulu in xbox live parties seems pretty cool, I don't think it would be a motivating feature for anyone with hulu plus already to pay another $3-4/month for gold.  But, if you are already subscribing to both for whatever other reasons, then that's a nice bonus.

 

I do think it's lame to require gold membership though just to be able to use hulu plus.  Sure, you'll get added bonuses with the parties, etc., but what if you're a user that doesn't care about those features?

Well, we all knew why hulu blocked it, so they could charge you for it.  As long as they don't require a hulu plus account to use hulu on the consoles then I'm happy (though it seems that is what they want), if not hulu needs to add many more networks to even get me to consider it.

Hulu plus may be worth 10 dollars a month if there are no commericals in the show. Does anyone know if this is the case? If you have to pay for the service and have to put up with ads then i'll just stick to torrents.

It was better when it was free. I already have cable so paying twice for the same content is stupid to me so screw it.

I guess I will unintall it now from my PC.

Seems unlikely that that would be the reason for the 360 delay.

kinect didn't matter in what he said and it could be added weith a patch later

Two commericials for every set break instead of 5? From what I have seen elsewhere.

Aside from that, I was wondering if this will be PSN or PSN. It'll be the first of many early tests to see which way Sony is going with PSN .

it will be for all for that subscription like NETFLIX not only PSN PLUS as its not one of the features
