Forums - Gaming - Which home console games are unplayable on a handheld?

I came to post exactly what O-D-C said.  That's the PSP's biggest failure.  Full fledged experiences are for the sofa.

I came to reiterate exactly what O-D-C and d21lewis said...

I hate cradling some portable for hours.

I think party games are not fitted in handhelds. A party game is better when you play together with a single screen.

@ O-D-C and co.

Most of DS owners play on their DSes at home or in the workplace, I think

ya but the games are;nt designed for that, their made to be enjoyed on the go, thats why you will find multiple save points, short levels or the ability to go into 'sleep' mode on the portables

when playing sbcg4ap, it would look pretty weird if you were rolling on the bus's floor imo. :)

don't waste time

3DS FC 4914-3563-4510

NNID : turtuls

Two things that handhelds suck at:

- Broad gesture motion control (tilt is fine).

- Local multiplayer, because everybody needs their own device and their own copy of the game.

Any game that puts the 2nd analog stick to good use...but with that said I'm still not convinced handhelds need a 2nd stick, it seems Nintendo agrees by only putting one on the 3ds :D

I think if they add the stick on the right side, it becomes awkward to hold the DS since you need grip on the buttons side.

If you move the buttons up, it becomes too close to the R button and probably give you cramp real fast and the bottom right corner will be stabbing into your palm.

If you move it down, it's too far from the R button and you lose the grip since it's no longer touching your palm for support.

Unless they change the shape/size of the layout, it doesn' look like simply adding a second stick would make it comfortable.

...the DS does not, a lot of games have that limited multiplayer download thing.

All the implementations I've tried have sucked. Here, have a single level to play!

It's a good idea, but either the tech isn't up to task (not enough memory), or the publishers only want your freeloading friends to get a little taste. Even with a good implementation, getting each player a DS is more expensive than getting each player a controller.

Every shooters. It definitely needs two analog sticks.

Correction: It needs a mouse and Keyboard.

You're Welcome. :)
