I just bought a broken 360 AND a broken PS3 for 300 dollars from a friend, total. Both are still under warranty. I will be sending them to their respective manufacturers shortly.

In other words, I just joined the I-have-all-the-consoles crowd. I shall use this as a shield: I will almost certainly remain a PC gamer first, and Wii-centric gamer on consoles, but I will constantly point out that I own all three in order to appear neutral whenever I say something unfair. Huzzah! It's sort of like having a black friend and then saying something totally racist. 

Seriously though, hope to be pew pewing with you in a few weeks, Legend. And hopefully I'll get a chance to play Afrika, LittleBigPlanet and SS HD with Vizunary and SSJ, among others. <3

Eehrm... So why did that guy sell you those for only 300 bucks if there's still waranty on 'em?!

He didn't want the PS3 anymore; he had one game for it, which I now own (Motorstorm). His 360 WASN'T under warranty, so he bought a new one.. and then the 3 year warranty was announced, so he had a broken, suddenly under-warranty-because-of-extension 360 sitting there.

Basically, he didn't want to bother with the PS3, and he already had another 360. And yes, he's a very good friend, so I'm sure he could have gotten more on the open market with some effort put in. But he never puts in any effort -- how long has the extended warranty for 360s been good for now, 6 months? Yeah, that 360 has just been sitting there waiting, because he's been too lazy to do anything aobut it, even though its probably 150+ dollars in his pocket if he had handled it.

He's keeping his Wii and his 360, and he's happy. I promised to let him borrow the PS3 for FF XIII when that comes out, because it's the only game on the PS3 that he cares about now.  

man.... it costs you more than that to get a Wii.

In fact here in UK you can easily pay £350 or more for one...so $700

Given that I bought my Wii from Toys R Us (where I work), the total cost of all three systems for me was 500 dollars. So yeah, I'm pretty awesome.
