btw after I changed the AA to application controlled, I got about 4533, 2GB on video card ftw I guess, might as well leave it on. 1280x720 MAX EDAA was 5081 lol, and I'm doing all these while a 1280x720p video is being encoded at 30FPS in real time in the background at 2500kb/s streaming to a live broadcast server. So yeah, I don't think modern PCs needs to worry too much about running FF14. My CPU also never went to 100%, ever.

ps: I'm running dual monitor atm so it's showing 2 video cards, there is no crossfire of any kind.

here are the SS:

1080p Full Edge Detect AA-

1080p APP AA-

720p Full Edge Detect AA-

JESUS FUCKING CHRIST!  That's a monster of a system... two 5870s?  Why not crossfired?

Well, I ain't missing much. After FFX, I was done with the series. FFX was great, but the direction they took FFXI was a lost cause because a Final Fantasy MMORPG has no chance of competing with the World of Warcraft.

If I ever want to play a Final Fantasy game, then I go back and play Final Fantasy 3 (different series number in Japan). Final Fantasy 3 was the pinnacle along with Final Fantasy 7. The rest have not sparked my interest because the gameplay is still the turn based crap, which I found hard to enjoy once I started playing the innately superior WRPGS such as Diablo, Fallout, Elder Scrolls, Legacy of Kain, and Fable series.

Fallout may be turn-based but it does not have the same "Attack, Magic, Item" menu that has been in place in Final Fantasy games since the original Final Fantasy.

This thread isn't about any of those games you mention. Your post doesn't even relates to anything here as a matter of fact. Your opinion is yours only, so try again.

XBOX is not MMO friendly, everybody knows that, just ask Level 5 and their True Fantasy Online, Champions Online, Marvel Universe Online, Age of Conan Online, the list go on and on. FFXI could be done because Microsoft take it as a special case since it was the first FF on Xbox platform (Sony was showing FFXII in E3, so beggars cant be choosers). Now they are being arrogant again.

Old Republic should be treated by Microsoft as a special case since it is by the RPG god Bioware, if the game got canceled again, I say leave Xbox to its shooters and dancing, and focus MMO investment in PC and PS3 only, why waste the effort?

What does a "closed" environment mean?

Microsoft does not want the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 to have joint servers. Basically Microsoft is saying that if Square wants XIV on the 360. Then they need to either have a closed server for the Xbox or basically scrap the PS3 development. Also Square doesn't want XIV users to HAVE to pay for Xbox Gold.

Hasnt that something to do with the structure of Xbox Live since it doesnt have dedicated Servers ?

Oh no that's just horrible for the FF XI players on the Xbox 360. =[

Could it also be something to do with piracy, i heard FF13 was hit very hard on the 360 because of piracy, and M$ cant seem to control the issue, which seems to be getting worst, from what i hear.
