You know what? I've really almost had it up to here with certain people disagreeing with me cause I disagree with them. I'm not trying to cause a ruckus. First the Taylor Swift thing and now soccer.. Just because you disagree with my opinions doesn't mean you should just flat out tell me I'm trying to cause a ruckus. You don't know me.

I disagree with your assertion that Futbol (Soccer) requires no skill.

But after playing the sport for 10 years, I can agree that the sport is boring and tedious.

I actually watch football, but don't like it. I can obviously see the talent in it though, but not in soccer. It seems like a sport that was invented for people who couldn't play the other sports.

That happens in every major sport, when there's a large enough of concentration of fans to create a mob mentality. In Venezuela, I've seen a couple of people dying in a Baseball match, after a field invasion when the Caracas team lost. Is Baseball to blame for what the fans do?

I think association football (called soccer in the US and few other places around the world) is a fantastic game.

My problem is with FIFA -- who basically tries to keep the rules in the 19th century. There is no reason to not have official time in the stadium and time outs with technology today. There is no reason not to use video replay. Meanwhile, there is a need for(at least) two refs on the field as well as a requirement for refs to explain what they call.

i dont see how my comment was nonsensical at all.  in this country soccer among non immgrant families is generally seen as a childrens game.  thats likely still popular as a childrens game because of the low cost for parents... meaning even the children of poorer families can still participate in sports.  all you need is a ball (or ball like object ie rolls when you kick it) and an open space.
