i havent seen any comments of the sort hes defending against( not that there necessarily havent been any) but they put out a demo so their clearly far enough along even if the game hasnt reached a finished product standard.  the sort of comments hes giving seem overly defensive, silly, and make me just roll my eyes at them.   so while yes, these comments dont seem outrageous as some of his previous ones have been doesnt make them any more necessary.

I don't get what your saying :S Have you played the demo? I sure haven't ..it's just there are people bitching about the visuals arond the web (including this forum) game developers notice such trends (especially if they are negative) and respond to them..Jaffe isn't the first to do it nor wil he be the last...his tone wasn't overly defensive either, he just listed a number of facts he wanted the fans to know, nothing more nothing less..your just making mountains out of well nothing really

How so? I feel youre simply holding something stupid he said in the past against what he has said in the OP. For once he actually responded in a very professional way, supportive of his team and very positive...not pissy or defensive at all.

Just the same as i could bring up your post history regardless of your current posts, its not fair to you and bringing up stupid shit hes said in the past has nothing to do with his current remarks, so let the past be in the past. How is summerizing the stages of development and an outline of what theyre trying to accomplish overly defensive. A lot of fans of twisted metal appreciate the info, he wasnt rude or defensive at all. I really cant fathom what youre taking out of this other than what we all know but i dont want to say because im trying to give you the benefit of the doubt, but youre making it difficult

clearly they thought the game complete enough for a demo to be made of it.  its like making a painting and then when someone says something critical about it you say "well its only a stick figure sketch of what the painting will be when its really done because i havent even practically started on the painting yet"

I thought the graphics were fine.  That said, I highly doubt they showed off "old" stuff if they had other, better, "good" stuff.

I have always loved the use of that excuse.  Obviously, if they had had better stuff to show, they would have shown it.

What happened to games being "good enough" in the looks department and be a blast to play?  Twisted Metal looks good enough to me.  Fun depends on what you are likely into.

I take it you must have been going nuts in the Kinect threads about how sitting isnt even implemented yet for movie watching or gaming with the device and it releases in November if youre this utterly up in arms about pre alpha twisted metal graphics, eh Mr. Bubbles?

you seem to have lost the plot.   i have no problems with the game or its graphics. 

He is giving feedback, that's what everyone expects when posting something anywhere. I doubt anyone wants to post something without getting back an answer.

In this case I don't see the response as arrogant or overtly defensive or annoying, I am pleased that he personally responds for his game.

DAY 1!

Since I played Twisted Metal 2 on the PS1 I don't get all the complains about the visuals. I honestly find them to fit perfectly to what is known as TWISTED METAL >:D! I CANT WAIT.
