By-line:

Analysis: A little hands-on gaming with the new features suggests both could use a bit more time in the oven.

Last line: "Instead of starting strong, both Move and Kinect will limp to the gate."

I guess we'll see once the full launch line-up for each is revealed. I'm also wondering if the games he tried out were the best that was available fromt he launch line-up.

I would agree that if the really good stuff that makes use of each systems unique features doesn't arrive on the scene until 2011 then Move and Natal run the risk of underwhelming out of the gate.

He is complimentary of the tech in general though, both for Move and Kinect.

It seems like the writer had more of a problem with the software than the hardware. But without solid software backing it, and less than 4 months to launch, they could easily die out of the gate. I dont think "Wiitoo" sports and fitness games are enough to bring in the "core", which will eventually spread to the casual through word of mouth.
