No. Dual analog control is the worst control scheme I have ever had to use for FPS games, and I had to put up with solo keyboard for Doom so that says a lot. It is a piece of shit control scheme and thank god it is being phased out for something that doesn't force the game to be noobed up to work. It is extremely limiting due to the fact it is slow as hell, and even more limiting because it makes the already weak controller with few buttons even less functional by removing the ability to easily press buttons and still remain in full control.

tld;dr Dual analog is a bucket of shit, thank god it is going away.

don't hate just because you can't use it well.

I know this is in Sony discussion, but I think Halo Reach is going to be my final dual analog stick FPS. To be honest, I don't even want to think about playing another PS3 FPS with that sucky controller configuration (see Killzone series). Finally, a better way to play is going to be universal, well for the Wii and PS3 at least. Mouse keyboard combination is still the best though.

Wow, I mean in Killzone you had to press start, hit controls and then adjust them. Some people...

And Motion Controls are not better for FPS games. If you look at the Socom footage, it's clear that the dualshock folks can own the motion control players.

Motion controls are better for headshots, and long range accurate shots - but with motion controls, it's much harder to move the crosshairs along a targets body at a constant speed, and it can take longer to line up the shot.

Dude, you think I'm stupid and don't know? What if even the settings you can change are not to my liking? Some people...

Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Not enough? In what way? I mean you have what, 8 layouts - ranging from the COD common that 99% are used to, to the bizarre and weird that a further 0.5% will be comfortable with. Then, maybe 0.499999999999% will take advantage of the Keyboard and Mouse support which is available.

It's not my fault that you are a 1 in a million individual.

You can also change zoom holds, X and Y sensitivity, lock on etc.

You have a point if you say that the actual game controls sucked (as in too slow etc), but you have no point about the 'schemes' being poor.

The guy on that video is sick. And I'm not sure, gotta try both first.

I use it perfectly fine and it is objectively the worst control scheme to happen to FPS games. The Wii does FPS 10x better than the HD consoles in terms of controls, and I am not even counting the PC control scheme cause then it would be even more embarassing.

Oh wow, I'm being teached how to change control settings in a game and that people play FPS on PS3. Awesome.

Also, yeah, the game relies heavily on strafe killing because aiming is just horrible even if you change the look sensitivity (I found the best was to keep it as low as possible. Still...). I also forgot to say an important thing: I don't like the stick layout on the Dual Shock. Not everyone likes your preference too.

And the point about the "scheme being poor" works, because with motion controls I would be able to aim at that fricking head in no time and with less trouble (almost as good as a mouse). I mean bosses in Metroid Prime 3 for example require precision shooting at certain areas and it's just done so well. Also, lock-on works extremely well in that game because the camera follows the guy at the same time will you can aim freely everywhere on screen. It makes the game simple, but then the devs can focus on making the game a little bit harder by requiring precision dodging and other stuff like that.

KZ2 was designed for the majority of shooting to be hip fired.

Therefore your problem is with the game mainly, and not controls.

And good analog stick player will beat a motion control player all day long on Killzone - because motion controls would be way too precise for the hip fire shooting and KZ2 requires a lot of good strafing, which I believe is better on a remote.

Wait wait. So being too precise and accurate is bad? Are you even hearing how horrible your argument is?
