Wait, There's A 120GB Xbox 360 Slim?

At E3 earlier this week, Microsoft unveiled a new 250GB Xbox 360. According to a report on Giant Bomb, there's also a secret 120GB version available.

Popping down to a local Best Buy to pick up one of the new consoles, Tested.com's Will Smith was charged $279 for his 360, not the $299 it should have been. Investigating, Smith says that his console was cheaper because of its 120GB hard drive, with the $250GB model going for $20 more.

This is the first anyone's heard of a new/different model than the $299 revealed at E3. Strange that Microsoft would a) go to the trouble of releasing a console that was only $20 cheaper, and b) not bother to tell anyone about it.

For $20 less that kind of blows but if they make it anywhere from $50-100 less I would jump all over that.  I currently have a 120gig hard drive and I don't need nearly that much so I'd gladly get the cheaper version. 

Hopefully when Kinect comes out there will be some kickass bundles for the 120 gig, if so, I'll gladly trade in my old 360.

That's only $30 more than a phat 120GB elite, they don't want to deter people from buying the phats right now!

in australia the 120gb elite holiday bundle (w/ batman lego and pure (with halo odst and forza 3 also at most stores)) is 249A$ but the arcade is 289A$, yet the OH so slim and shiny one (the new 250gb w/less inbuilt) is 449A$, they reaallllly want to get rid of the old one in australia... apparently also not caring about selling the arcade lol

yup by 10 whole dollars they were 298, the funny thing is no one has heard of an arcade slim (well officially) so aus is like, nah thats cool people wont notice. I'll in fact put money on it that there was at least 1 arcade sold yesterday. Someone might like white THAT much, or they had a dumb@$$ salesmen
