I am going to GAME today or tomorrow. I have a dilemma though.

I want to trade in my elite (it's 3 years old, would feel guilty giving it to my neice with a good chance it'll RROD in a year or 2)

So I can get the Slim for £99!

BUT, how the heck am I gonna transfer my saves from my elite to my new slim, if I have to make the trade in the shop?!

Nice guy, though his first suggestion was to buy a £40 120gig harddrive and trade that in with my elite ... no thanks.

Then I suggested to him I buy the slim out right for £199, and then take it home, migrate everything over, then bring my elite in and get the cash back, but he said I'd only get £90 this way instead of £100??? why?! it's not bother to them either way ..

Then he suggest usb, I don't have one though. I guess this is my easiest route though.

I might have misheard but he also said if I go down today and put a £20 deposit on, and trade my elite in on the day for £100, I get the Slim for £60?? I don't get that ....

How much easier would it be if places like Game offered a transfer service for people who are upgrading, like phone shops do.

Not sure how GAME does things but I had this same question for gamestop over my saves on my 250 gig and they said if I have a transfer cable I could have it done in the store and trade it for the system or if I came back within 7 days with my receipt and my harddrive they would give me credit for the harddrive equal to what I would have got if I put it towards the console. I assume they will do things similar but check with them to make sure.
