Thought that the 360's hardware problems were over? Perhaps not. A modder has revealed that his brand new Xbox 360 features the same old X clamp on the chipset. This X clamp was widely associated with the RRoD previously and it will have many people fearing for the reliability of the new device. But that's not all, there also more disadvantages too.

Amongst this, Solomods has also pointed out many other potential downsides of the new box including:

* It will gather finger prints easily
* No more faceplate fun
* Free floating disk drive
* No HDMI cables included and no migration kit

doubt they'll get the rrod of grod b/c of this its still newer tech than the jasper and that model hasnt had any real problems with failure

yeah i dont why people hate it either when ps3 came out they all said sexy console then when ps3 lost it they said its better now b/c its easier to clean and no fingerprints they just jump on the bandwagon i like the look of the new 360 and it features like TS buttons and added 2 usbs

not impressed by its tech though still uses alot of watts more power=more heat also its size its pretty close to ps3 even though 360s has external power and now this x clamp design if these 360S get some kinda outbreak of failure like rrod it wont end well

The X-clamp is actually a fine design for holding the chipset in place, it was the heat that caused the flexing in the launch models that were the problem. X-clamps are perfectly servicable for a single chip at 45nm

... any reason to bring down the system
