they are free as long as you maintain your plus account. but you can still buy them if you want and you still get your discount to purchase them..it's like netflix but you have the choice to buy the software with a discount to boot. and if you do decide to drop the plus you can still keep the game if you bought it. or if you rejoin you get access back to the game.

so it's not bad at all for what you are getting.

No I dont think so... was a Live gold member... the free silver was fine for me.  So probably the same for PSN for me.

But I'll give the free trial a try and go from there.

Playstation All-Stars is one of the best games I've played this gen, and is the most fun I've had in a game this gen.

Sony trying to juice me for cash the same way Microsoft does for Live? Fuck that. If I wanted to pay for an online service I would have gotten Live years ago.

no you can still play for free. you do not have to buy it..they are adding some services like free game download's, free qore access. free mini's discount to the playstation store.

everything in the free service is is still free.

that is not the same as XBOXlive

o'l come on it is free no one is forcing me to shell out the money to play online with the PS3..if that's not free than what is.

yes you can still get freebies while still getting a paid product

just because one part of the paid service is one thing does not mean you cannot get freebies along the way. just like the service that is free right now. I got the game Flow for free. under a free service.
