Forums - PC - Finally I could regularize my Planescape: Torment copy.

I was feeling bad for not being able to regularly buy a copy of a game so good and the digital download and not cheap version was a blatant rip-off on both authors and all those devoted users patching, modding and keeping it alive for so many years, and BTW I wanted the box and the disc too.

So today, going to the accountant for the taxes, I saw in the newsstands that an Italian PC gaming magazine, Giochi per il Mio Computer, bundled it with a special issue for 7.90€, I looked for one that didn't display it under direct sunlight and I bought it. For another 7.90€ I also bought the June issue of the same mag with Mass Effect, that makes my backlog furtherly grow, but I'm happy!  ...Or better, I'm happier than I was when I still thought that trip downtown were only for taxes!

I wouldn't feel guilty for pirating a crappy game (but as usual I wouldn't even waste my time to pirate it) but I felt very guilty for being forced to pirate a masterpiece, as it wasn't available for sale for years, only rare, very expensive used copies were available every now and then for die-hard collectors with deep pockets.

So now all my games since 1997 are regular, I only have left a small bunch of very old pirated DOS games (back then I didn't even have my own PC)...

So, as far as I'm concerned, I can say piracy only hurts bad or meh games and it hits good games only if they aren't available for sale.
