Forums - Microsoft - Microsoft is hurting themselves

With the openess of the console. It cost them the Marvel MMO, Level 5 MMO, FF14,  and now Valve is moving the PS3 ahead of the 360 when it comes to development now since PS3 is allowing Steam features for their console. To be honest if Blizzard ever make a console game it's going to be on the PS3.

Sony still believes in supporting people who make hardcore games. Microsoft has put the hardcore on hold to try to capture the casuals. Sony didn't spend near as much time talking about Move as Microsoft spent talking Kinect! I think Sony showed off more games to and had more bomb shells like Twisted Metal. Microsoft is hurting their self by trying to capture the casuals without keeping their hardcore fans satisfied!

Totally agree but Sony is allowing developers to play around with the system. Look at Unreal Tournament it got Mod support for the PS3 only. Look at FF14, it was developed first for the 360 but problems with Microsoft allowed Sony to jump in and get exclusivity. Valve will now favor the PS3 over the 360 because they can integrate Steam stuff with it.

What does Steam bring to PS3?

It's the Steam Cloud. If I am reading it right Sony and the PC can share save games. Like I can play it on the PC and use my PC save on the PS3.

Yeah Sony is letting developers do everything that they can't to with the 360. It was crazy this year, every multiplatform game was demonstrated on PS3. I think Sony is slowly turning into the Sony power house they once were! I'm happy to see developers not looked scared to come out on Sony's stage and present their games!

How to put it TC....nothing on that list, in the broadest possible sense, will affect the outcome of this generation one iota. MICROSOFT DOESN'T CARE.
