without the bundle.
move 50
nav 30
cam (if you don't already have one) 40
all that is 120 (cheaper than ms, not by much)

and a normal consumer doesn't really look at how many he will be able to play with but will he himself be able to play it
also MOVE will have a lower price if NATAL makes impact as MS KINECT conference affected MOVE price |
Nope you're wrong.
$99 bundle has is without the navi.
Also, I don't know what person doesn't care about buying a 2nd controller for a friend. Must be a really lonely person. I know every single person I've ever seen buy any console also picked up a 2nd controller. What fun would that Sports game be without a buddy?
Sony won't immediately drop Move prices. They'll stick and at this price point I know the gamestop prices from yesterday for Kinect will stick. It just makes sense for MS to stay there in comparison to this.
However, I still think Kinect should be $99.

I don't think you're right. Here's the link to the vgchartz article stating otherwise. http://gamrfeed.vgchartz.com/story/80478/playstation-move-priced-bundles-announced/ |
yes i was wrong
looks like they priced it high after Kinect MS conference bombing

Your correct even IGN and GameTrailers is saying no navi.
I luved reading all the hate threads these guys had about kinect...now they can eat thier own words.
I was excited for both Move and kinect...now I have to rethink Move....I didnt see a great luanch line up for it at all.... and price...sheesh...
Kinect...rumored 149$*which is 99% the real price* that will handle upto 4 players..and its added stuff like controling netflix etc...Comes with a game.. Move...just for me and my girl...
100$ bundle plus 29$ navi... now she needs a set up too....49$ 29$=78$
Total 207$.... tax at 10% grand total 220$....gonna be a tuff price point..
I have some friends id luv play put they gonna have to get thier own controller...I will not spend 400$ for 4 folks to play*thats 2 more set ups added to above...*
Oh and the magic game..that comes sometime 2011... |
a causal gamer doesn't really think will the game he bough will let him play with 4 people at his house but WILL HE HIMSELF BE ABLE TO PLAY IT
u can just look at Wii mote

yes i was wrong and i already stated myself as a reply to one of the guys post
you can just look at the Wii how people keep buying Wiimotes and Move price was affected by NATAL thing not really interesting people and the high 360 SLIM price
if NATL makes an impact, only then will SONY reduce price of PS3 120GB and MOVE

I think you have your view of ''The Casual'' market very wrong. Move and Kinect are both taregeting this type...and this type...is made up of alot of familys. Hence the luanch line up of kinect...hence the set ups in the commercials and trailers...family family..active active. Play as a grp. Infact its very very ''party guy'' set up aswell.
I have casual gamer friends....and your wrong..these arnt the once were hardcore gamers but are too busy with work/family life..and now magicly all im concerned about is if ''I'' can play it...No...their fam guys or guys that play lightly and more often than not..with others at the same time for fun....spin it how you want. Move was lack luster showing and lack luster pricing.

just because one casual thinks one way deosn't mean they all do
also as you have seen with Wii,they buy alot of Wii moted
MOVE pricing was affected as SONY didn't really need to do anything after MSKINECT press conference relieveing people of their interrest
if if PS MOVE is going for the CASUAL market their biggest enemy was 360 NATAL as that would be HARDCORE and CASUAL consoles and they will alone be left as HARDCORE console but now that 360 KINECT interest dropped and they launched MOVE,its not so much

EYE is available for $20 at many places
What you'l find though is that Move *seems* more appealing financially but is just as costly really.
For example, gamers may spend $80 getting their stuff at first, but over the nest few months they are likely to buy more controllers and accessories, without noticing the real cost so much.
Natal is more, bam! $150 up front and you get the whole load.

Where? I've never seen in new for less than $33 or so.
That's why the bundle for $99 is a good deal. ($69 $39 = $99 plus free game).
If it were $20, why the hell would you buy the bundle? Plus, all retialers sell it for full MSRP or $40.
