The vast array of grills and fans makes me thingk its MS's attempt to remove of lesen the liklyhood of RRoD (or GRoD, given the new LED lights). It definately looks nice, but im kinda bummed they stuck with a disk tray.

And greenberg has said they havn't even decided ona price yet and all retail prices are speculated.
It's obvious you really want to believe it's priced mega high though ..

Name one product that has been priced on these big retailers websites that didn't turn out to be right.
They base their prices of what they know from the manufacturers.
149 for Kinect alone, 299 w/ new arcade, or 399 w/ new elite.
Makes perfect since as base price is consistent with high end pc cameras and bundled saves you $50.
Face it, you're in denial.

lol, I'm not indenial about anything, so many prices have been thrown around, by all sorts of "reliable sources" fact of the matter is I don't think Greenberg is bullshitting.
And just to finish, $149 standalone and $299 with arcade is fine with me .. so I have nothing to be "in denial" about.

Where do you get that? You get Wifi, 5 USB Ports, and also a harddrive double the size, for the current price of the elite. Current systems drop by $50.
Let's say that it is $150, and compare that to Move. Kinects you buy once, no matter how many players. With each player aded to Move it is another $50 dollars, on top of the original $100. Move costs more for more than one player than Kinects does. This is assuming Move comes out at $150, and not $100 also, or less.

Apparantly Gamestop > Microsoft when it comes to confirmation!

I didn't call some sweden place or chinese magazine's rumor to be accurate. In fact those places suggested higher prices.
I'm quoting Gamestop; one of the largest game retailers in the US that not known to put up fake prices.
I can't count how many times MS and Sony execs have been quoted to saying some price rumor or hardware rumor etc is not true or they haven't decided such and such yet, only to be proven liars a week or two later. Of course he's not goig to commit to a price point yet as I don't think they wanted Sony or Nintendo to know just yet. Not to mention, it may negatively effect people going out to purchase the new systems right now as they are trying to reduce stock.
Also, if you're willing to pay that much for so little (at least so little IMO) then you're crazy and I guarantee you that by the end of this year you'll realize you are in the minority as Kinect sells very little in comparison to the 360 userbase.
For comparison sake, the balance board has sold to almost 40% of Wii's marketshare or about 30m units, (using WiiFit and WFPlus software as a guide, yes I'm not counting 100% of WFPlus) and I'm sure WMplus is over 40%.
However, Kinect will not be anywhere near that. It won't even reach 10% (That's currently less than 4million units).
There are a couple games (especially that dance game) that could push Kinect into mainstream and sell like crazy. But for $150 stand alone plus $50 or $60 for the game, I just don't see it happening at all.
