Anyone else notice that they keep saying that this new model is kinect compatible?

What do they mean by that? I've seen it written several times now.

it means you don't need to plug kinect to the wall as awell as x360,,,it just needs to be connected to x360.older models have to connect kinect to x360 and wall

it's not that simple:

you say $5.00 wifi, you try buying a wifi /11n for $5.00..

combine that with a 250 GB harddrive that's over $100.00 right there.

You totally misunderstood....there is no additional cost since the Elite 360 cost 299 anyways.

It does seem like MS is taking away the arcade unit though (which is stupid as hell)

No it's been confirmed it is also being redesigned, and will stay on shelves at $149 until the redesigned arcade is out.

I'll try and find a link, but I'm seeing some contradictory articles atm so maybe it isn't confirmed.

new xbox arcade w/ kinect is 299

new xbox elite w/ kinect is 399

I hope so cause that would really be a bad choice for MS to get rid of the arcade model.
