Forums - Microsoft - Why did it say the new XBox 360 is "Ready for Kinect"

Something caught my eye and i'm confused about it during the keynote...one second...IMAGE Ready for Kinect? Are the old XBox 360's not ready for kinect...everything else they put on those screens were new things...250GB HDD....Built in Wi-Fi...Why put Ready for Kinect...

Are the old ones Not ready for kinect?

Just waiting for that PS Vita to come out so I can play some full featured games on the go with that beautiful screen and control scheme...

old xbox's will work.

im not sure how you plug in kinect, but the first xbox's did NOT have HDMI ports

I dunno man, I'm curious if they're going to try to sneak in some sort of extra adapter people have to buy to use Kinect with the now 'old' XBox 360's

Kinect uses a separate power supply, the New 360 will have a special plug so you don't have to use a separate power supply with the new unit.

At least the Dev-Demo Kit of Natal showed a separate power supply.

"I don't trust #XboxOne & #Kinect 2.0, it's always connected" as you tweet from your smartphone - irony 0_o

They said in the conference all 360's can use Kinect.

The thing I'm upset about is the new 360's will have touch senstive buttons, I hate those things!

FOR CLARITY

Kinect requires its own power and the new slim is able to power the kinect

Other models will require power from the wall instead

its IN THE BOX no matter what so its a minor thing

Ah, so the main difference will probably just be one plug taken or two
