I generally go the badass male route, but depending on my mood I may go the hot girl route.  That's pretty rare for me, though.

In White Knight Chronicles I intended to go the badass male route, but accidentally ended up going the small, squirrely faced boy route.

I always try to create females that resemble me as much as possible, they're like emo versions of me with boobs.

Always the top choice. I also make him black and look like Ganondorf (red hair FTW!!), always always always!

Oh, and making ugly/deformed characters is... pointless? How can you relate the character to the story and the game's universe (unless everyone is ugly like in Oblivion)? I mean, your char is the hero no?

Do what I do every time I die: RESET THE GAME IN RAGE MODE!

(I only do that in WRPGs or single player games that have "number of death" stats. I hate stats with a passion. )

I usualy go for good looking as possible female, but also make bad-ass males occasionally.

I always play as females, and make her either good looking but quite realistically so or I make them ressemble me, with some extra features that I like. Like in Dragon Age, my main character was a female elf but I made her ressemble me. :3

I don't tend tend to play as males, if I have a choice.

Hey, it's the inside that counts!

I often design characters that seems timid on the outside but are complete psychos on the inside. When it comes to physical appearance I like to give my characters "natural" beauty.

I usually try to make a female character that's as ugly as possible. As much as I love to fantasize in my room about Chun-Li, Samus Aran, Rouge the Bat etc, not every female character has to be something that could qualify as a cover girl on Maxim.

Thieves rarely look badass (and I always make theives), but I'll go with the badass male.
