Wow, Germany lost in the end.

This has been a very atypical WC.

@Zexen

There has been quite a fair share of bad rulings in this WC. In the Portugal - Ivory Coast game there were at least 4 yellow cards to be shown to Ivory Coast and 2 for Portugal. And the yellow card showed to Ronaldo was ludicrous.

Maybe a bit more yellows in that match would have been in order, correct. Ronaldo? He engaged in a fight with Demel, both correctly booked. If you want another, Franco was incorrectly booked yesterday, but overall, these are very minor things. Don't you even remember how we were at this stage in the last two world cups? Don't matches like Croatia-Australia, Portugal-United States, Brazil-Turkey ring a bell? There's nothing like this in here

He engaged in a fight? He was tackled from behind, as he got up he got shoved in the chest by the Ivory Coast defender and he told the player to Fuck Off.

If he deserved a yellow, then the Ivory Coast defender deserved a red card.

I don't disagree about this WC having overall better refereeing than previous WC. But that's not quite a big accomplishment since refereeing in WCs usually are pretty bad.

Maybe not a terribly big accomplishment, but I don't want a repeat of last WC where we have a world champion that went through unfairly in the round of 16 by a penalty that only an idiot can blow. It basically puts into question Italy's title. If in this WC teams win due to what they do in the field and not due to whatever crosses the ref's mind, it's a success

Go Slovenia

1-0 already

This has been a terrible day for me. Germany lost in the most boring and ridiculous match ever to Serbia, and now the U.S. is just looking like a joke (these being my two favorite teams, of course). I can't even bear to watch the match anymore. The only thing that could possibly make this any worse is if England loses to Algeria, which is no longer inconceivable.

This WC is shaping up to be the most atypical and inconsistent ever. Spain losing, Germany losing after a 4-0 win, USA playing bad after their good game with England, Brazil having trouble beating N.Korea.

I guess the elimination round will have a very peculiar shape XD

Oh, 2-1 to USA at this very moment

Yeah, this cup is just odd. Although I am expecting it to shift towards the norm after the group stages.

Also, thanks for the notification. I just turned the TV back on. GO USA!!!
