And... time's up. I'm rather... saddened by the outcome, but such is life. Anyway, here are the answers:
1. I really thought someone would get this. This was from Persona 1; while this version was taken from the PS1 version, there is a remixed version of it on the PSP remake.
2. As one of my absolute favorite DS series, I had to include something from Etrian Odyssey. I stuck to the first game in the series, with the first dungeon area. Glad to see some people got this one! ^_^
3. I think this was recycled from another round on accident, oops? :P No big deal, it was SMT: Digital Devil Saga.
4. Sticking with early dungeons, I picked a game that again, was on multiple systems. And to my knowledge, the songs weren't remixed this time. But this one was fairly early in Riviera. Again, I thought someone might get it?
5. Another great classic game- literally! And another early dungeon theme. (I didn't intend this to be a secondary theme, really!) Harking in the days of yore, The Dark Spire music was selected; I even used the updated sounding version.
6. People may accuse me of having a Nintendo slant. But really, I tried running the gamut on this round. Likewise, I've fielded comments that I use too many old games. Apparently a favorite around here, Demon's Souls, still was missed by many.
7. This was a little tricky, but I picked a piece that I thought would be easier. Still with new stuff, this was from the intro to Shiren the Wanderer. This song was also used in the official trailer; alas, nobody seemed to remember this one...
8. I intened this to be both easy and a curveball. Disgaea, well known as an NIS property, saw the first iteration of the first game released by Atlus. I did accept any of the titles for the first game, though.
9. Yeah, I was a bitch with this one. Not wanting to leave Microsoft out, I picked a game for the 360. (Using the original XBox game would have been too cruel.) But I didn't care for any of the music in their retail releases. Then I found one- released across several other platforms, to boot! Droplitz, an XBLA/PC/PSN/etc game, appears to have avoided the radar. It's damn fun, too!
10. I have to have that classic game that's obscure to end. Though I'm not sure how classic Rockin' Kats is, using an old game to pay homage to Atlus' roots is only appropriate. And, it's one of the few games also distributed by Atlus in the EU. A fitting end to the round, I thought.
