Forums - General - AT&T kills unlimited plans for mobile users!!!

sad day

what the hell is $15 for 200mb and $25 for 2gb.

IT will easily be eaten up on phones, leave what the IPAD users could do.

good thing VERIZON,SPRINT and others haven't jumped in

are you stuck with a contract?

If not, get a sim chip that's called Airvoice Unlimited. It should cost 15-25 $

You basically remove your AT&T card, burned it, piss on the ashes then place the airvoice card into your phone. Airvoice is a month to month unlimitted talk and text plan  for a flat 40 $ a month.

Just saying

If you have a contract with unlimited data your good, and upgrading shouldnt change that unless A. AT&T decide to be douches or B. You change something on your plan.

And Verizon might follow. Hopefully not, or atleast keep max data at 5GBs or higher.

If Verizon doesn't follow suit with this, it will be an instant win for them. Especially with their 4G network coming down the pipes.

- 3000 anytime minutes / month

- free long distance to Canadian phones.

- no contract (I got the tab)

im assuming thats a prepaid phone service. We have similar here in the likes of Straight Talk from Walmart where you get unlimited talk, text, and data for $50 a month. They use Verizon's towers.

Here is the problem with going prepaid. The majority of phones available blow. They use featured phones at best. You will never see a smartphone on these services.

I personally want my Android smartphone and all my apps so prepaid isnt an option for me.

I think he is talking about data..

Anyhow, you should feel lucky, I pay $50/month for 500M of data a month unlimited talk/text to 5 numbers anywhere in Canada... Mobile data in Canada is pricey.  I get like 100 anytime minutes as well a month and free evenings and weekends (for local calls)

Oh, and as well, I use google maps and watch youtube on my phone, plus surf the weba  bit and I have never come anywhere close to using 500 megs...  If I tethered to my PC I might.. depending on what I used it for, used to have a wireless modem and I discovered WoW only used about 5 megs of data per hour when I played that
