Forums - General - Help please... UK car MOT

So Ive been really busy with work latley and I just went to check when my MOT was due this month, turns out it expired on the 1st, I havnt driven my car since as i know the insurance is now invalid, I'm having to get an overdraft to pay for the Mot now as i have no money left till next friday....

should i expect a fine in the post from the DVLA? or are they leaniant and give a few days sake if i book it now?

you should be fine, take it into the an MOT place as soon as possible and get your tax sorted ASAP. my boss totally forgot about his for a month and he didn't get in trouble.

if your feeling unsure, give the DVLA a call, or check on direct.gov.uk, if you're upfront and honest about it, i don't think they will mind.

that reminds me, got to get my car taz sorted soon.
