That's pretty awesome if true. The next logical step is Saturn games and its big load of SHMUPs, especially Radiant Silvergun.

Dreamcast lacking good games? I can't think of any system that got as many amazing games as dreamcast in the 2 years it was on the market. PS2 took a year to get a single game worth playing...

Also Powerstone wasn't published by Sega so it can only be on Capcom collections.

but look at each console in its entirety, that is the perspective that i am looking at it from. I will admit that it had some great games, not just that many.

You can't judge a consoles library and compare it to a console thats been out for 10 years.

All I know is that I got the DC in late 1999. I was bombarded with games to play. Literally...every week there was a new awesome game to rent or buy. And they were really diverse, original as well...

And this lasted all the way till the end. In late 2001 when the party was over I got to play Rez, Ikaruga, Shenmue 2, Headhunter and Guilty Gear X. All 5 games kicked ass...

I've yet to meet a dreamcast owner that owned one back then that is saying they didn't have a great time with the system.

All I really want are the Sonic Adventure games and Armada. The more, the better though!

haha,lol why not? I look at it in the same way i look at an actor or athlete, sure they had a good 2 years and got some good awards, but after that they dropped off into oblivion. No staying power to really compete, good start but terrible finish.

Reason why analogy makes no sense is because Sports teams/players have salary caps. Fair competition is almost impossible when one team (Sega) couldn't afford to lose 800 million dollars (thats all they lost while in hardware business) while Sony can lose 4 billion with PS3 and Microsoft can lose 9 billion with Xbox 1 and both can still keep smiling.

Besides DC is a little engine that couldn't which in 2 years they acumilated more 90 rated games accodring to Metacritic than Wii did so far. Not to mention that the Metacritics database is missing half of the games like Sonic Adventure, Powerstone and Resident Evil Code Veronica.

So I don't know what the hell you are talking about with no quality games... Maybe try games that don't appeal to you.

one of the highest gameranking games is Soul Calibur... metacritic is new to the game you want to look back in earlier games gamerankings is the way to go
