Forums - Microsoft - The Split Second Demo didn't do the game justice

After playing the demo I thought the game was fun and planned on picking it up later on this summer.  Well I got a wild hair up my ass yesterday and traded in my PSP and the few games I had for it and picked up some new games.  So besides RDR and Splinter Cell Conviction, I picked up Split Second.

I popped it in first and have put over 6 hours into already. I just can't get enough... haven't even tried the other two games yet.  There is a decent variety of race types and the progression system is addicting.  The controls are spot on and the graphics and frame rate are rock solid.  It's the best arcade racer I've played since PGR3 and I'm enjoying it much more than Burnout Paradise.  The open world racing games were fun at the beginning (Midnight Club), but with everyone now making them the novelty has worn off.

Anybody who prefers arcade racers over simulation racers needs to give it a try.  Plus you can pick it up for $39.99 at Best Buy this week as well.

Hmm, wasn't impressed with the handling in the demo, I want it more Like Burnout Revenge. I was dissapointed.

Wasn't overly impressed with how the cars controlled but still thought there might be some fun to be had with the game. However with so many other good games out just now i can't really justify giving it a purchase.

I'm still not sure whether i want to buy this or blur, I didnt really like the split/second demo but from what people are saying abought it i might give it a try

End of 2012 prediction:

xbox 360 : 73-75 million  playstation 3 : 72-74 million  wii : 104-105 million

Most hyped for :

Bioshock: infinte, The Last Of Us, Alan Wake's American Nightmare and Agent

I kinda like it, but air strikes missions are a pain in the ass :(

I had more fun playing blur, though.

Definitely get Split Second...Blur is a horrible game imo.

How exactly is Blur horrible? I played the beta enough to max my level, and I fail to see what's so bad about it.
