Sure it'll run WoW etc smooth..but I'd go with your-

You gotta realize unless its plugged in when you do any real gaming on it..that battery is gonna drain fast...thats for any laptop.

theres some info about that card and many others etc for ya.

im sure that notebook will atleast get about 9k-14k on 3dmrk06

That ati 5730 is good but there are alot better...just depends how much u wanna spend.

Also hard drive speed matters for gaming aswell..sooo yeah go with the 1st since its 7200rpms vs that 5400 snail .

What do you actually want? Do you want a 17" desktop replacement or a more mobile 15.6" model? Do you want light? Do you want full sized keyboards? ETC.

Well...

If your not shy about saving 100-200$ then - vs the previous choice.

Is a great lappy.  It's still gonna be heavy but atleast it isnt quite as large as a 17+ inch.

It indeed has a great vid card...not only that it's a bit more future proof vs the other...seeing down the road there might be more grphical games you'd want to play.

Asus is pretty top notch on thier support of thier products...while as Dell...well...you can browse the tech foums on the net and see what thier own employes say...*and it's not good...*

I've had a few dell gaming lappys and well...they tend to fall apart...driver support is stone age.

I think that is a great deal thou...maybe browse around and find it at a cheaper price if you can.* Thou I doubt youll find it cheaper*

By chance what OS are you planning on using?

Oh...btw with its rez being 1080p...you can always play games in uber glory...not only that...down the road you can always hook up a usb blue ray player to watch movies or w/e. So that option is always open.

windows 7, premium

Then that seems like the one for ya. Got plenty of ram for win7 etc. Only thing now is to find others just like it for cheaper hehe^^ or just go ahead and get it.

Always best thou to find the one you know you want and then find something to beat its price/qualitiy. But I didnt see any better deals round the web atm.
