two over the top action games with amazing action, but which is the best?

Should be a third option: Too close to call!

Both had the BEST action scenes in a game this gen imo

The fight against Hades and Cronos alone makes this a pretty easy win, in my eyes, for God of War III

uncharted 2 had pretty good scenes such as the helicopter scene , the train scene , the shambala scene where the whole ground moves. so its hard to tell. but yeah kratos killing kronos was EPIC

God of War III has Posidon, Hades and Cronos Boss Fights... Nuff Said.

For me Uncharted 2. GoW3 was great, but as ever I didn't agree with all the camera choices and I don't like feeling penned in with the boss fights (same thing in Uncharted 2 but the boss fights are less frequent and not quite as hemming in). Uncharted 2's fights felt more freeform and gave me the choice of angle, etc.

I also prefer the Indiana Jones style action - look I'm hanging on a train pulling guys off - to God of War's hack/slash approach.

I'll also give Uncharted 2 the nod for being a better narrative with better pacing.

Kratos definitely wins the mean and moody comparison, though.

Both are great action games, though.

God of War 3 hands down. Uncharted 2 was incredible in its own right, but scenes in GOW3 such as the fight with Cronos or Poseiden blow Uncharted 2 out of the water.

they are completely different games one stays within the boundaries of reality and one completely crosses over into fantasy, i lean more towards god3 cause i love greek mythology and the scale was absolutely amazing but UC2 played all the cards right to be so believable in its own right.

both are amazing hands down

MGS4 for me even though it's not on the list.
