Sony: Gran Turismo 5 out before LittleBigPlanet 2

Man Furismo Jive. It’s all the rage in the future, tearing its way through living rooms as it takes over PS3 gamer’s lives. It’s the game that’s been on its way for what feels like forever, but soon we’ll be blessed. Polyphony Digital’s game could be out before the snow hits the ground.

Hell, it’s the release period we imagined, but with LittleBigPlanet 2 scheduled for Winter 2010, it’s good to hear that Gran Turismo 5 could be out before. Where did we hear this little nugget? None other than Sony Computer Entertainment Europe president Andrew House. He responded to the PlayStation Forum question “which game is going to be the ‘big one’ after GT5?”

“I think we have a fantastic line-up of games coming out later this year and into 2011. We have just announced LittleBigPlanet 2, which is very exciting. The original game changed the way developers now look at developing games and the things Media Molecule has done with the sequel are truly incredible. I can’t wait for LBP2 to come out and can promise you that it will be great.”

Of course, House most likely couldn’t talk about a game other than LittleBigPlanet 2, since it’s the only newly announced game (apart from Killzone 3 most recently). Though we’d doubt House would be stupid enough to answer a question on what’s coming after GT5 with a game that’s releasing before.

When asked whether Gran Turismo 5 was just a myth, House adds:

“Absolutely not. It’s looking amazing and will be out soon.”

they should push LBP2 to release in the spring next yr.

Imo the guy could easily just be confused, the question didn't focus on release dates or anything.

But yeah, pretty strong xmas line up thus far with GT5, LBP2 and Socom 4. Think we'll get Resistance 3 thrown in there to complete it and whatever else is announced at E3 will be first half of 2011.

Most interesting thing if this is true imo is that it means Move will most likely already be out, pointing to that July date as being reasonable.

LBP2 will be a holiday release and GT will be in fall

Hmm... too many good games in the same year, save something for 2011 please =p

that's the beauty of Sony, unlike others you can expect them to keep going and going, 2011 will be bigger than 2010.....and that what's scares my wallet XD

Hahaha! Not too long ago people were worried about sony blowing their wad early this year and not having anything for the fall. Funny how things can change so fast. 

And pretty sure they will  have an even better line up for next year as well :D

GT5 would be out before the original LBP, so im not believing this

We will have Infamous 2, Final Fantasy Vs XIII, Killzone 3, Resistance 3 and more in 2011. But 2010 has been great so far with Heavy Rain Mod, Nation Racers, God of War 3, MAG, 3d Dot Heroes, Yakuza 3 released and Ape Escape 3, Gran Turismo 5, Little Big Planet 2, The Agency, Agent, DC Universe Online and more set to release for later this year.
