it might push me to get a 3D TV sooner than planned though...so many sources are claiming that it is a genuine game changer and i'm having an extremely hard time resisting the temptation

Always sad how people refuse to become excited about future technology because they don't see how they could afford it, or because they've already invested in something else.
It was the same for me. When Xbox was gaining much applause due to it's tremendous power I desperately clutched my PS2 and made excuses like: " Oh, it's a PC, not a console".
I was 13.
Since then I've grown up, and all of you that see expensive 3D TV's and go: " Oh, it's a gimmick" , should really get real. If I offered you a top of the range 3D TV and 3D enabled games you would be excited as hell.
I can't afford a 3D TV, but it sure as hell looks cool.

I agree with this post whole heartedly. Even though killzone 3 will be out for a long time before I get a 3D tv the new technology still excites me.
Time for hype

Unfortunately most people have their biases against whatever isn't within their reach. Let's remain open for innovative new experiences and forget about the bitter souls.
I actually don't like the idea of wearing glasses to play a game, but if Sony can make it worth my while, then I'll jump in like a sailor into a brothel. Just been playing a lot of PS3 and honestly the 360 just cannot do what GoW III and Uncharted2 has done. I'm looking forward to see what Naughty Dog, Guerrilla and Santa Monica have in Store for us very much.
Impress me Sony.
