Forums - Sony - Gran Turismo 5 supports Move, 3D

Yeah I don't see Move support as doing anything for the game. Head tracking OK, but for that you only need the PSEye not the glo-stick and Nav, and head tracking was confirmed before 3D.

If Move support is a reason for the delayed [Japan] date then I think a lot of GT5 would be kinda pissed. I think 3D support is sorta forgiveable as a further delay, but not Move.

I'm not sure about Move support, with the Wii games I've played Wii remote controls were fine for games like Excite Truck and Mario Kart where you're not too arsed about control precision. In GT5 one bad turn and you've lost the whole race... not sure Move would really be better...

Maybe they'll give us a stand to put it in and use a gear stick :P.

By move support do they just mean "Use Move controller as a wheel" type thing?

no idea

but GT5 for MOVE is as essential as HALO REACH for NATAL

Not sure what you mean by that but I hope Natal and Move arent involved in either of those games.

Perhaps Natal for menus only in Reach and possible head tracking as an OPTION in GT5... but thats all.

I ALSO WANT THAT ONLY

but to push their motion controls, they will include them

UPDATED: Sources reveal to MCV that recent delays to Polyphony’s racer are to allow implementation of new tech

A source close to Sony has confirmed to MCV that the reason behind the more recent of Gran Turismo 5’s delays is the implementation of both 3D and Move compatibility.

Gee, even Pachter could have guessed that one... no real need for a source...

i didn't predict it,it was just a news

if you don't like it then why even comment

Well I'm happy... I was going to buy GT5 because i was never a GT5 guy but i will buy now just for Move and when i get a 3dTv i be set.

So you're saying that neither is essential at all for these games.  Good, we agree on something! *gasp*

I guess it got off wrong. I didn't mean to imply that you said this, nor did I mean to offend you, sorry.

All I meant is that the article feels as if it tries to make a news important where the only actual news was already something that most people would have held as obvious. (A source, an update, a sony comment... feels overdone).

Bungie has already stated that Reach won't support Natal.

YEAH BUNGIE said that but that doesn't stop them from surprising us at E3

it could have been said to avoid SONY putting in MOVE with GT5 which would be huge competition

and HALO is MS's biggest weapon to launch NATAL,no other comes close
