I am asking because my other recent thread about a new system that plays retro games gave me the idea.

My personal favorite would have to be a tie between the WaveBird and the Dual Shock3. Why because each are so functional and are great over all with both 3D and 2D games as well. Although the most comfortable to me would still have to be the SNES controller.

So what is your favorite and most comfortable controller to use?

The GameCube's (regular one). Then it's the 360's. The DualShock is not bad, but I never really liked it for FPS games. The joystick placements are weird, and with some games like Killzone 2, it's really hard to do some moves when the two buttons are like R1 and R2!

i get used to about every controller/remote/stick/arcade/keyboard/camera/whatever i play with.

It's a tie between the GCN Controller and the Classic Controller Pro~

Keyboard and Mouse. I do love my Logitech Joystick on the PC tho.

the gamecube controller was rly something else, I had never held a controller that fit so perfectly into my hand, and all the buttons so easily accessible, but the layout wasn't the best for some games.

i voted the 360 controller because the handles turned out to be an improvement on what i thought couldn't be improved making for a more comfortable fit, and well, the dpad on the gamecube was quite useless imo lol, so any other dpad would be an improvement

There is no favorite controller. It depends on the game type. For fighting games i prefer a stick for example, for shooters keyboard and mouse and for other genres other controllers. Most console games that comes today, plays just as well with either a PS3 controller or a 360 controller, except for racers imo, which because of the 360 triggers are a bit better, but again here you should a wheel. And yeah, fighters are better for PS3 but here you should use a stick.

So for me i cant say any controller is ultimate, the 360 controller and the PS3 controller is best suited for more types of games than the Wii though. But the Wii controller is better suited for the games that are released for it.
