Forums - Gaming - The Future of Gaming (seriously)

Ok, well I was putzing about watching videos when I came across this little gem. Unlike the other videos I was watching this one was genuinely interesting.

http://www.collegehumor.com/video:1769591

I think if this technology is developed and improved it could be a very bitchin way to play games and the video specifically mentions that applications in games are already being considered.

So who is willing to pay $15 to buy this peripheral for your PC? I sure as hell would....

PS - I'm sure some have seen it before...and to those people I say FU! For the rest of us who don't live on "teh internetz" this is new....

I thought College Humour was primarily a joke site... is this video real or not?

By life end:

  • Wii- 100 million+
  • Xbox360- 35~40 million
  • PS3- 30 million
  • PSP- 30~32 million ------------- FAILURE
  • NDS- 85~90 million (Skeptical)  - FAILURE
  • NDS- 100 million+ (Optimistic) -- Success!

I've read about things like this before, but didn't know they've come this far.

At the local musem they have a game where two people try to move a ping-pong ball using their mind. The most "relaxed" mind wins.

I'm just looking forward to the first "Destroy All Humans" game to utilize this =)

I can't believe more people aren't interested/excited by this....or maybe they are speechless?...yeah thats it!

WOW!!!! imagine videogames with this stuff. We r getting closer to Matrix :P

I think it is NOT the future of gaming ... it is simply too difficult.
Why I must think something to play when I can naturally wave a wiimote like a sword or bat or gun ?

 Done.

I actually would have done it in the first place but their embed link was messed up last night/this morning.

It's certainly interesting. I'm not sure how useful it will be in gaming. It would be fun using it in Lego Star Wars when you are activating the Force. It looks to useful in real world applications right now.
