My ideas:

Low Price (Below $150)

Touch-Screen

UMDs :)

Better marketing for it and its games

Motion Control????

The 3DS is going to have some serious competition if the PSP2 turns out good.

Software Emu (built-in) for 100% PS2 B/C (with games from the PSN only of course).

2 Analog Sticks.

Will have better connectivity to the PS3.  You can plug it into your PS3 and use the PS3 to display/control the Game (IE you plug it in, the PS3 does the upconversion on video, handles the sound and allows you to play the game using your Wireless DS3 controller)

2 Analogs and its a instawinner.

What's the point of 2 analog sticks besides FPSs? FPSs are always better on the home consoles.

2 Analogs makes everything smoother in general. And Camera control is always nice.

What do you think of motion control? I'm not talking advanced motion control like Move. Something like the Apple Ipod motion control like the tilt sensing features. I think it could work well with racing games.

FPSs are always better on PC if you follow that argument/have you ever played any 3rd person game?

-Make it compatible, in some way with Ps2 games
-Add a mini HDMI so you can play games and play video/music on a TV using a Dualshock
-I like the idea to download only the games of PSPgo
-yes, 2 analog sticks for sure
-It must have better graphics than 3DS, price range around 250$ (it was too high for a new version of an old console, not for a next-gen one)

I meant FPSs are always better on home consoles compared to portable gaming devices. I think $250 is still a little high even for a next-generation portable gaming device. I doubt the 3DS will be that expensive.

It needs to have multitasking ability something awesome like Pandora streaming while gaming would rule. I would also want to see backwards compatibility and a significant sized hard drive something like 80-100 gig.

Well, I don't remeber exactly how much is the PSP-3000, around 150$ am I right? that's a 5year old console, 250$ doesn't sound like madness to me, it was too much for the PSPgo which had some real cool features but was still a 5year old console, I'm expecting the 3ds to be around 199$ (only time will tell), if they want to make a more powerful hardwere is quite logical that it will also cost more... and it has to be more powerful otherwise I think it will be difficult for them to compete against the huge-popular DS.
