nope. sony dont buy games they already said that. if a company wants to make a game exclusive ps3 then they will help with its creation but they dont actualy buy games.

Why shud sony? I would rather have Sony use the money to fund their own IP's like a Siphone filter for PS3 or bring back 8days in development using the money.

Exactly, Sony arent Microsoft...Sony accually have internal first party devs and dont need to buy games off 3rd parties

Valve think way too highly of themselves and a game from them would hardly do anything worthwhile for Sony that other games from other publishers can't already do.
