Forums - General - Everybody Draw Muhammad Day...How do you feel about it?

Freedom of speech.

Can't have one set of rules for one religion then a different set for all the others.

I will join in the celebration and laughter when a image making fun of any religion is drawn, even my own. Some people need to not be so serious about everything a take a chill pill.

Also who cares if there's death threats for doing it? It just shows which people need to grow up and get a life.

I honestly couldnt care less if I tried, dont care about religion, dont care aout what people draw.

On the bright side, some amazing artists could be discovered!

All religions should be treated equally. Therefore all religions should be made fun of equally. It's only fair.

"I don't understand how someone could like Tolstoy and Dostoyevsky, but not like Twilight!!!"

"Last book I read was Brokeback Mountain, I just don't have the patience for them unless it's softcore porn."

I don't see the point.

Just troll's trolling troll's.

I'd also like to mention that the Muhammed Day thing is worldwide, not everyone has the right to free speech.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

If I weren't so lazy I would draw Bin laden fucking Muhammad in the ass, symbolizing what the extremists are doing to Islam.

Absolutely support moves like this.

Other religious figures are viable targets in art and entertainment and Muhammed should be aswell.

If drawing a picture of Muhammed is illegal in the Islamic faith then the only people in the world who shouldn't draw pictures of him are hardcore Muslims. Everyone that isn't religious or are of another faith or aren't hardcore Muslims should be allowed to draw pictures of the prophet without fear of death or reprisal beyond other counterattacks through free speech means.

If this causes threats then it highlights my points. People who threaten other peoples lives over things like this shouldn't get there way.

I agree with this completely. But, would you do it if you knew your life could be at risk through threats?

As a muslim, I really don't give a damn. let them draw what they wanna draw.

and as for the extremists, they can go fuck themselves and learn to respect other religions.
