You say most instances, but I bet there must be -some- 360 exclusive(s) you like to play online. Since you need pay to play those you just naturally shift all your gaming onto the same platform. It's not necessarily a conscious thing. |
Last year, I got Super Street Fighter HD Remix for the PS3 AND the 360. I had fun on both consoles but problems with lag, disconnecting, and actually finding someone to play with were rampant on the PS3 version. Plus, Steroid was kicking my ass. This was all in preparation for Street Fighter 4, though.
Before SF4 released, my 360 died. The PS3 version was on shelves for $60. Rather than get that version, I waited until I could afford another 360, SF4, and a better controller (because the 360's d-pad was garbage). For me, the better online was just that important. And, like Twesterm said, everybody (that I know, at least) that owns a PS3 and a 360 always buys the 360 version of multiplatform games if they're going to play them online. I got Batman AA on the PS3 and Final Fantasy 13 on the PS3 because the PS3 version was the best version. I get my online kicks on the 360 because the 360 has the better online. Like you said, it's not necessarily a conscious thing. The 360's online is better. It just feels better. It runs better. In my case, it runs $50 a year better.
