Forums - Gaming - Red Dead Redemption stole alan wakes hype?

Too soon to call Alan Wake a flop considering it hasn't released yet. It does seem that people are talking more about Red Dead but that's not really new.

I'm going to say when it comes to hype this week, Prince of Persia is the one that is going to come up short. To me it looks like....
1. Red Dead Redemption
2. Alan Wake
3. Split/Second
4. Prince of Persia.

i'd put PoP over Split Second,

PoP has a huge fanbase.

no its made by Rockstar

and the Wiki Page says it got mixed reviews, damn reviewers were harsh, this game was amazing.

It'll flop... I mean, it'll sell well, profit, but then the producers will realize that it's too much time and money invested in a game for so little profit and relevance. And them they'll feel jealous about other games that made much more money and were made using one tenth of the money.

Well, that's what I think... but I don't know why, I can imagine that possibility of it being a complete flop too (like selling poorly).

it was made by rockstar. And published by capcom in japan. and published by rockstar everywhere else.

and people like to use the the word flop here for anything that's a dissapointment (which we don't know if it is)

How long will it take before VGC gets software numbers for both Alan Wake and RDR?

Um, Revolver was a Capcom game, Rockstar bought the rights and finished it. Here's the quote I found about it:

"Now, after acquiring Capcom Entertainment's once promising Red Dead Revolver from a sure hanging, the master of all things mafia, guns and style is giving us its take on the Western, revitalizing not only the game, the shooter theme along with it."

Look up.

RDR didn't steal any kind of hype whatsoever, Dont forget Xbox fans have been waiting for alan wake for at least 4 years, they wont change their mind all of the sudden, plus RDR is Multiplatform game so out selling alan wake wont be a surprise

I am a proud GRAPHICS WHORE.

What is interesting is how many reviewers were eyeing RDR when reviewing AW...kinda like movies...hmmm...
