I say, 150 stand alone, 299 bundle with arcade version. 399 bundle with the other version. |
The Wireless adapter and HDDs are profit generators for M$-- they purposely keep the price high to make up for losses elsewhere.
With Natal, M$ can not afford to jack up the price. M$ is trying to gain casual market share, new userbase, and prolonged console life. I would expect M$ to sell Natal at a break-even point or possibly even a small loss. Natal cannot be too expensive, or M$ will never be able to lure casuals away from the Wii.
The only thing I wonder about is long much the hardware costs to manufacture for Natal. Beyond these costs, M$ also has to try to regain some of the billions of dollars they spent obtaining, developing, and marketing Natal. Those product development costs are probably what will end up getting the price of Natal inflated for a while.
Natal is going to have to be less than $100, however, for it to have any impact at all.
