if it's only 79, how can it justify charging more for an wireless adaptor? Or more for 20GB storage?

I say, 150 stand alone, 299 bundle with arcade version. 399 bundle with the other version.

The Wireless adapter and HDDs are profit generators for M$-- they purposely keep the price high to make up for losses elsewhere.

With Natal, M$ can not afford to jack up the price.  M$ is trying to gain casual market share, new userbase, and prolonged console life.  I would expect M$ to sell Natal at a break-even point or possibly even a small loss.  Natal cannot be too expensive, or M$ will never be able to lure casuals away from the Wii.

The only thing I wonder about is long much the hardware costs to manufacture for Natal.  Beyond these costs, M$ also has to try to regain some of the billions of dollars they spent obtaining, developing, and marketing Natal.  Those product development costs are probably what will end up getting the price of Natal inflated for a while.

Natal is going to have to be less than $100, however, for it to have any impact at all.

but seriously I have no idea, it could be a lot but then again microsoft wants a lot of people to get it so it could be as low as $50 US...

i reckon Microsoft will try to beat the moves price.. i say $80USD... or they will bundle it with the 360 and a Natal game priced $100 extra? that is a great deal if you ask me.. thats $50 for the game and $50 for natal.. then they will give the 360 a price cut at E3, 100 dollars off then it will be a the same price it is now again thanks to Natal lol

50 bucks

$50-$60

If they go higher, I don't see many people adopting it

anything over 100$ and it is going to fail. The only way natal is going to sell shit loads if they bundled it with Halo:reach and made it compulsory to play the game.

It is not going to be cheaper than the price of 2 controllers... and probably quite a bit more.

So that is your starting point, in the UK that is £60 ($89 or 70 euros)

This is why I think that MOVE and NATAL are pretty much destined to be only moderately successful at best. Its all a little bit too late and all a bit too expensive. If wither Sony or MS want to take a hit on proce then they could do well, but I dont see that happening.

I'm guessing less than £100 (less than $147)

One BIG problem is that the Euro is collapsing against the dollar and ther Yen.... not good news for either MS or Sony (particularly Sony)

this. Expect for when you said the starting point is £60. How much was the starting point of the wi-fi adapter for the xbox?
