Forums - PC - The Orange Box

The first thing I do after getting a new computer is go buy The Orange Box and play 20 hours of TF2 straight. Well maybe 10 hours of TF2, beat Portal, then play 10 more hours of TF2.

I'm hoping this will happen around my birthday in May, but might happen late summer/early autumn if I'm not lucky.

Awesome, that should be fun for you.

And about the PS3 version, I don't really trust it as much because its not from Valve directly.  If you have a PC that can run this which shouldn't be hard to get I would highly suggest getting the PC version then.

Yeah, you don't need a NASA pc to run the games in the orange box. Games like Crysis, UT3 and Bioshock are far more demanding for your system, and the graphics made by the source engine aren't that advanced but still it's beautifull. The first time you leave the caves your jaw drops on your desk, and I was playin on medium detail :P

Only judge a game on own experience.

I have it, and to my dismay I hate Team Fortress 2. I just cant get into it. Old team fortress is a lot better. I miss my grenades and most of the classes feel limited. There is a mod called Fortress Forever where people use the Source engine to make an old school Fortress game, but few people play. I really only play Counter Strike, but I still loved portal. Orange box may not be game of the year, but it is value of the year.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

@CDiablo: I like the balanced feel of the TF2, which requires you to actually work as a team. But I can see how you liked TFC or perhaps TF?
