Man, this game is so incredible.  I have longed to play this game since it came out, but I am strictly a Mac guy and so time passed and I never got to play it.  Well, along comes Steam for Mac with Portal for free and you better believe I jumped all over it.  This game is so very awesome!  I love the innovation and love the mind games it has already began to play with me.  This has got to be one of the most innovative games this generation.  Ok, I'm done.

are there no other mac guys that played portal today?

i played it on PC , PS3 , Xbox and Linux

Edit : i don't think it supports Linux  but you can play just about any game on that OS without the support.

Its probably the most innovative game of the generation.

Valves lengendary status is well deserved.

I originally got it on the 360 through the orange box but now I have it on my steam account. Naturally I told all my mac friends about it and they all got it. I would love to see how many new accounts were created just because of this deal.

Me and the Mac guys here at work all got it and are loving every minute of it. Just avoided the cake fire and now on the run, love the dialogue, pure genius.

Some pretty cool idea's but more like a tech demo (of sorts) than a real game. For free its great sure, but valve shouldn't expect ppl to pay for it.

Portal is awsome, just a bit too short. The fan made Prelude is worth checking out too. I wonder if mods for games will automatically work on the Mac if the game itself has been ported to the Mac...
