Yes but the market has grown hugely since the PS2 came out. Its more than doubled. Look how many consoles were sold last year. Its Insane.

Huh? Im extremely proud of what the Wii has achieved, but im just being realistic, its stupid and way too early for us Nintendo fans to start crapping our pants and making ridiculous claims. It only outsold the PS by a couple of million last year...its doing great but theres a years to go before the Wii even outsells the PS1, let alone the entire PS family!

NO, he said family, so the PSfamily includes all PS systems, including the PSP and it's next iteneration and the next PS4

His prediction is nothing but blind fan loaylty. And here's why.

Why, instead of giving an exact number of what it's going to sell, he says it'll outsell the playstation family, when no one knows what's coming in the next eight years for the family. Why not give an exact number of how much it's going to sell, as we will see the PS family number will increase greatly from year to year. He is simply using it so that he can say that it ousold the playstation family and he was right when he predicted it in eight years, rather than bring concrete evidence as to what the PlayStation family may be at in eight years.

dj, i assume he's talking about the current ps family: psx,ps2,ps3,psp

i don't think he means including ps4/ps5/psp2/ps6/etc/etc

So after you found out that I didn't know the 2007 sales, you kept arguing with me for several posts, until you get your arguments destroyed and retroactively decide that I'm not worth your time simultaneously by coincidence?

(A) Not knowing exactly what the numbers were doesn't mean I had no general idea, and enough to get a valid picture of the situation; (B) My former lack of knowledge has nothing to do with the quality of my arguments. If I was really so ignorant I would be easily disproven by rational argumentation combined with evidence; you have utterly failed to do so -- hmm, what conclusion should people draw from that?

NEWSFLASH: This isnt a constructive argument (Not least because you're a little hazy about the numbers). Sorry if you were really getting off but as you can see if you READ, I was quite happy to agree to disagee about 3 days ago.

60 millions in end of 2008, it's impossible, and the reason is simple, Nintendo haven't the facilities to product 40 millions Wii in one year.
