But it isn't that good... I was saving that money for Mario Galaxy 2 and Red Dead Redemption -.-, so they will have to wait until June or July.

I work at GameStop and all we've done this past week is a temporary sale on the new version for $49. Next week it'll be back to $59.

It may have been a move to combat used game sales. Sony knows there going to sell majority of the game in the 1st 6 weeks, so then they cut the price and get customers who would have bought the game used, and now gamestop will be eating a bunch of losses from people who traded in the game early.

Having an overstocked issue the reason for a price drop at GameStop is likely. Given they generally have a robust selection of new and used games.

But to say they lowered the price because they already made a profit of the game and are now passing that on to the consumers......I think not.

lol normally a price of a game drops when it sells more than 2 million go figure, but it could be just a temporary sale like as you said due to having too much stock, but GOW 3 is a huge success and was one of the quickest sellers on PS3, anyone else who wants to call it a failure should leave this site:(:( (not having a go at you)

Metacritic 93 ? Successful ? HELL YES

1 million + First week
2.29m within 8 weeks of sale (with American numbers it'll prolly be 2.33 atleast).. and extremely good legs ? SUCCSESSFUL IT IS !

Sales are even more impressive considering the genre, hack 'n slash ! GoW III will most probably pass DMC 4 PS360 sales within 2-3 weeks more numbers.
