Tell them if they dissing Halo Reach then they're actually dissing Halo 2 & 3. Because its all Bungie and each of the previous games were the stepping stone to the direction Bungie wanted Halo. And now that Reach is their final masterpiece its like hating on Reach is hating on Halo & Bungie in general.

If that makes any sense lol =P

Maybe you could have them around a few times to watch you playing online. Whenever I watch someone else playing I always think of the things that I would do different during the match. This always makes me want to play really bad. Perhaps you could ignite something similar within your friends by having them watch a few of your matches. Imagine getting hooked up with shitty teammates and having your boys be like,"what a douch, he didn't have your back." Too bad for them not liking the game because the shit is awesome.

Yeah, Im making some vids of my games...like the 2 tripple kills i got last night within 10 seconds.  Ill show them my highlight reels and see what they say...lol

Fuck 'em

Well I have to join your two mates and 1337 gamers's opinion about it.

But hey it is the same with the people who love COD: WaW MP while others say it suck compared to COD : MW....

Lets face it, the only people that are not liking Halo REach are the ones that are not doing well.

And from what I've seen...people that are not doing well are people who used to stick to walls and corners, crouch with swords and shotties a lot, completely rely on the BR or always try to capture the high ground on a map and hold it.

People that constantly moved around in Halo 3 and are able to use the best weapon for each situation are kicking ass in Reach.

With that said, I see how people may take time to get used to these new power ups. In halo 3, when you had your sights on someone, you were goin in for the kill... In Reach, you kinda have to let people get away sometimes even though you have them almost dead.

My freinds that are unhappy with reach are not hardcore gamers by any means. Halo 2 was a pretty steep learning curve when they started playing and it took them 2 years to get in to it. Then same with 3... They still bitch at the introduction of shield drain power ups and other stuff which wasn't in halo 2. Now Reach has completely changed the game to them and they seem reluctant to spend time to learn it.

They'll cave eventually, they just need to adjust! Work on them seperatly.

Send them this:

If they were just xbl friends I would say to leave it, there's really nothing you can do to change their opinion.

However since these are your real life friends I understand your predicament since you want to be able to play with them online and I actually had the same problem with one of my close friends. He sent me a text saying how Reach sucks and I calmly refuted him and provided counter arguments. I also, in a non-condescending way, gave him some pointers and tips in order to help his game. For example he thought that even if the reticule blooms the bullets would hit dead center every time and was getting frustrated when he couldn't get the last head shot so I explained to him the new mechanics for shooting. He's started to come around and is really enjoying the game now, especially Invasion mode.

Also if their not liking the armor abilities take them into slayer arena and play some slayer pro with them. I know a lot of people that changed their mind about the game after playing slayer pro since the only armor ability in that is sprint and no radar really opens up the maps to movement.
