Forums - Gaming - Official E3 Thread. Info, Maps, and Awesome E3!

Welcome Everyone. E3 is nearly here. This is where things crank right up. It's the biggest event of the gaming calander. OVer the course of the next month, I will try my best to update the OP with as much info as I can. But this year promises to be the best yet.

LAYOUT!

Full Flash Player Map for E3. Showing the Massive South Hall Which is 2 x the size of West Hall and the meeting Hall. Click this link for your Full E3 Map.

The South Hall is the place to be. It's 2 x the size of the West Hall. If you look at the Virtual Map above. It's just massive. The stalls within as like last year, are of gigantuan size. Here you will find the liks of Microsoft, Square Enix, Electronic Arts, Ubisoft among others. It's the most expensive room and expensive areas to hire for the weekend. All found in the South Hall.

Here is a walkthrough of the South Hall. The Microsoft, Square, EA and Ubisoft areas are the largest floor spced areas in E3. They are huge. Ths is 2009. I believe the same companies got the same spots.

Ok, so whos in the West Hall. Well it's alot smaller than the South Hall. It has alot of vendors like Gamespot etc because mainly it's cheaper to hire. But here you ill find Sony and Nintendo side by side. They do have the 2 biggest areas in West Hall ( but they have to just to keep in with the size of the South Hall areas ).

Here is a video of 2009 West Hall Walkthrough. As you can see. Very small areas. Apart from Sony and Nintendo.

Ok. So then theres the Meeting Hall. Surprisingly Microsoft have hired 6 rooms. Against 1 for Nintendo and 1 for Sony. Obviously this must be for Natal surely. Still this is where the magic behind closed doors happens. Unfortunately there is no video footage allowed from there.

Then we have the concourse level. Which is where the presentations happen. Also registrations, media outlets etc are all on this area.

Sorry but the video seems to only play in 720p for the Concourse. Hmmm.

This isnt just a map thread. LOL. This is everything E3. And those maps aren't actual maps. It misses off 2 whole sections and makes West Hall look bigger than South Hall. When it's clearly 2x smaller LOL.

Dates and times added to OP.

This "official" threads are a little annoying. Speaking for myself.

If some new important tidbit of information is released, people will make a new thread about that to discuss that part, rather than searching the "official" thread, post there and no one cares. Why?

Because there's another new thread created about it.

i agree official threads are annoying.

Guys I know your fairly new. But we have usually have official threads so that there isn't 400 hundred threads on the same topic. Over E3 there is likely to be more than 300 bits of new info. It's better to all be in 1 place.

a bit early for e3 official thread but anyway since you have the official thread you will spend many hours in your computer for the daily updates so good luck with it
