Forums - Microsoft - Microsoft needs to make a Halo Universe platformer as a new IP

I think a more "tradional" Banjo and Kazooie game would do much better.

I think many of the hard core BK fans were disappointed with the new direction Rare took the franchise. And from the time I have played of Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie, I believe they were right.

Banjo could be as big as mario is to Ninetendo if it is nurtured and managed properly.

No, it coundn't! Imagine again what Mario is to nintendo and imagine a stupid (in a good way :) ) bear and a dirty mouth chicken doing the same. No, just no.

And I would love Banjo Threeie, I'm huge fan of the series! But Nuts and Bolts was very cool too, so I can wait a little longer for it to happen!

Rare is in a great shape in my opinion. The problem is that they don't have DK to work anymore... so it takes a lot of visibility from them.

@carl2291 I can assure you that the development of banjo kazooie is in no way hondered by the development of halo games. If by microsoft you mean microsofr game studios, they don't really make games; they publish them Suggesting that the development cycle of a Rare game is affected negatively by the development cycle of bungie or 343 is backwards thinking. Release date, however...Maybe Also, halo is probably one of the LEAST milked top selling franchises. Within the last decade there were only 5 halo games. (2000 THROUGH 2009 is in fact a decade)
