Not one tiny bit leo j, the last one was released 2 years ago when this releases ...

i don't see where you are going with this.

I believe this was unexpected for many of us because Media Molecule implied that there wouldn't be a sequel to LBP anytime soon, and their support for the original title with literally game changing downloadable content over a year after release (Pirates pack adding water) supported this.

In my mind I had pegged numerous Sony IPs to have sequels announced relatively soon (Killzone, Resistance, etc.), but not LBP. It certainly took me somewhat by surprise.

Don't forget the Legend of Zelda and the Last Guardian!

Heavy Rain & FFXIII too but they hve too low metascore (below 90) to b able to qualify for nominatin.

Have you seen the number of changes being made to the game?  And on top of it all, all levels and DLC from the first game will carry over to the second game.

It's definitely not a money grabbing move.  It's drastic evolutions to the game that could only be done via a fully blown sequel, yet the sequel still retains everything (both time invested and money spent) from the original title.

The platforming isn't the primary focus of the game.  And personally I don't think they got it wrong the first time.  :P
