It's just

It's just that most of them are honkies

Uh... what's a honky?  0_o

I'm sorry I will give a real answer I don't wanna be a jerk

It's a racial epithet for white people - was really popular in the 60's and 70's, used somewhat less nowadays

I was serious.  ;_;

I kinda figured that's what it meant, but I've never actually heard the term used.

Additionally, while the US is more homophobic then most other countries (to my knowledge haven't looked at numbers)... we are actually LESS racist then most countries by the numbers.

It just occasionally appears differently due to the nature of our freedom of speech and our belief that stricter hate crime laws would infringe on it.

So I could see how this would appear to be different to an outsider.

I'd say we're less racist because we're a giant melting pot. In no other country will you find such a mix of nationalities and races.  Not only are we more used to being around people of other races/cultures, but you have guys like me that are a mix of 7+ nationalities, thus we have a hard judging people based on where they come from.

Though people from Texas generally suck.  :P

OT: Gay people get the far shorter end of the stick.

Only most huh?

Nah i'm just kidding.  My last name is actually Armenian... which while considered white ethinically... I don't think many people would consider it white.

It's possible... when you think about it... it's just shocking how far the US has come with racism.  One of the last to abolish slavery... and yet while there is still a lot of work to be done... we measure favorably with other countries based on racism.

It was inevitable.  Get a bunch of white, black, asian, hispanic, etc. people together in one place for the first time, and you're bound to have some confrontation.  Give 'em time to get used to each other (in this case several generations) and they'll eventually get along.

We came upon a mountain and figured out a way around it.  Many places never hit that mountain.  Of course, the prevalance of the internet combined with an attitude of acceptance amongst popular culture is helping people get over such issues without ever even having to see the mountain.  Thus is the advantage of the modern era.  It allows those of one culture to get to know those of another without ever even meeting them.

Here in America, "gay" and "faggot" are the most common insults.

Gay people easily (gay black people even more so).

I hear this a lot as an insult to someone not gay: "You're Gay!"

I rarely hear someone say this to a non-Black person as an insult: "You're Black!"

there all red hair, soulless, pale zombies lol

and if you are red haired i am sorry for you disease

lol im sorry if i pissed anybody off

I remember a couple years back, on a dating website (not a bad way to meet people honestly), I was talking to this girl for about a week. She finally asked me what my ethnicity was and when I told her I'm half middle eastern she deleted her account minutes later.

I'm called a camel-jockey, a *and I quote* "sand nigga" and a stinking Ayrab at least once a week at work.

I've been to many places around the world and unfortunately America is the most prejudice of the bunch. However, there are the majority of open minded, intelligent people that see through a lot of those stereotypes and boy are they fun to meet :)

I want to say -other- Middle Easterns and Muslims got it the worst. That's completely based on personal experience.
