The amount of religious people in america is huge and athiests dont really ever gather together to say something back.A few weeks back there was a huge controversy over some senator or something being an athiest.Incrediable to believe but true.
Having said this i think gay people get an incrediably hard time for no reason other than " its says it a sin in the bible!"

being black and gay I would say I have experienced homophobia and racism equally. That could be due to the fact that I'm not effeminate(which most consider the most obvious trait of homosexuality) where as being black is a little more obvious. So where I more flaming I would probably select homophobia.

It's not JUST Christians that so many people hate gay people. Lots of people who aren't even remotely christian do for whatever reason.

I'll put it this way though. In most states... firing someone because they are gay is NOT against the law.
