FFX really had golden soundtrack. Too bad that aside from pretty great battle theme FFXIII ost was disappointing imo.

and the best song in FFX imo. So sad and beautiful at the same time.

Oh, PLEASE.

Zanarkand is 50 times better than it.

Nah, I'm kidding, the song is amazing.

Although, I thought FFX's soundtrack was weaker compared to FF7, 8, and 9. Maybe it was because the voices were getting in the way. And did they ever get in the way!

FF7 and FF9 are simply the archetype of Uematsu's excellence. I find it hard deciding which one is better.

Kimi wa ne tashika ni ano toki watashi no soba ni ita

Itsudatte itsudatte itsudatte

Sugu yoko de waratteita

Nakushitemo torimodosu kimi wo

I will never leave you

FF9 has Vamo Alla Flamenco

Then again, FF7 does have Those Who Fight Further...

Decisions, decisions

Decisions, decisions

Final Fantasy 9 has You're Not Alone!

Final Fantasy 7 has J-E-N-O-V-A...

FF9 has The Dark Messenger!

FF7 has Birth of a God...

Let's see.... final boss theme goes to FF7.

Regular boss theme, FF9.

Map theme - FF9

Chocobo theme - FF9

Battle theme - FF9

Town themes - FF7 by a lot

That a lot is seriously A LOT.

Yes, but none has Aria di Mezzo Carattere, so FF6 wins!!! (j/k).

Yup, both have awesome OSTs, they are amongst my top FF OSTs

I had The Dark Messenger as my Ringtone for a couple of years

That's what makes me sad.

Uematsu is amazing and it was so depressing to know he's not the composer for FF13.

Hope that you enjoy it when you do. And make sure to pay attention to the opera scene.

Probably the best single scene to grace the 16-bit era

And dtewi, don't forget that slow fishes are incredibly tasty. Also keep in mind that waiting in tough positions can be helpful.

I hope that won't spoil anything.
